Bio

Dr. Jones received her BSN at Niagara University, MS in Community Health Nursing from D’Youville College, and her Ph.D. in Nursing from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Dr. Jones holds certifications in Nursing Education, Advanced Cardiac life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.

Dr. Jones has taught in both undergraduate and RN-BSN programs focusing on pharmacology, community health, nursing informatics, and nursing research. Her previously held clinical positions include Nursing Supervisor in acute care, Nurse Manager in sub-acute care, Charge Nurse in step-down trauma and staff nurse in long-term care.

Dr. Jones' research areas include horizontal violence and nurse faculty workforce. Dr. Jones is a member of Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing and serves on the research committee of the Professional Nurses Association of Western New York.
